WHAT IS URGENT CARE?

"Urgent Care" generally refers to the rapid treatment of conditions in a facility other than a hospital emergency room.

Urgent Care also refers to a setting where an appointment is not necessary in order to see a physician.

Examples include treatment of fever, sore throats, earache, and respiratory infections. It also includes urinary tract infections, stomach problems, and minor injuries.

Urgent Care covers management of cuts, fractures and sprains that require splinting, and injuries that may require X-Rays.
